2021 Market Review - Rover 1951-2005
Any list of ‘affordable classics’ would in years gone have included a Rover. Today, the cars that once were cheap have been making strong gains and P4 [1950s] sedans are headed for $20,000.
The imposing 3.5-litre V8 coupe is costly to restore and in excellent condition will exceed $30,000. 1930s-style P3 saloons can get to that level as well.
An ex-Buick V8 engine in a compact body produced a sales winner for Rover and excellent 3500V8s have doubled in value since 2016. Exceptional examples of the later SD1 might also hit that mark, however 21st Century 75s haven’t as yet made an impression.
P3 $21,980 [5]
P4 $8960 [6]
3 Litre Sedan/Coupe $7000 [1]
