2021 Market review - Rolls-Royce 1949-1980
It is still possible to buy a Rolls-Royce for $10,000 but preferable that you don’t. A problem in ordinary cars that might prompt a $1000 repair can in the ultra-complex Silver Spirit become a $10K saga. Expert pre-purchase inspection is absolutely essential and $30,000 probably the least you should be spending on a Silver Shadow or early Spirit.
Pre-1966 R-R prices have increased significantly, with top-quality Cloud 3s surging past $100,000. Money in that realm is also available for Corniche convertibles but they rarely appear. Of the later models, Silver Seraphs are way below new cost but not especially popular and the 21st Century Phantom struggles as well.
