The third annual festival of historic motorsport, live entertainment and period atmosphere is coming
to the Rob Roy Hillclimb in the Yarra Valley on 29 and 30 March 2025. Ford will be the featured marque.
The main event will be on Sunday 30 March when the Rob Roy Festival adds live music, fashion shows andthe historic picnic races atmosphere to the motorsport. There will be practice sessions and some competitive hillclimb runs in the afternoon on Saturday 29 March.
Organised by the MG Car Club Victoria, the Rob Roy Revival will see over 80 invited historic racing cars
competing on the hillclimb track. Australian Champion Driver John Bowe AM is the Event Patron and will also
compete in the hillclimb.
Cars will run in classes for sports cars, racing cars and touring cars.
“We will be celebrating the 100th anniversary of Ford Australia in 2025. Many great racing Fords will be competing and a highlight will be a special class for Falcon GTs. We will also showcase the best examples of classic Fords in the car club display,” said MG Car Club Secretary Tony Lupton.
The Rob Roy Revival recreates the atmosphere of 1940s to 60s motorsport, with spectators encouraged to dress in period style. Hay bales, white picket fencing and officials in period dress will add to the atmosphere. Bring a picnic lunch or enjoy the gourmet food available,” Lupton said.
Located only 45 minutes from Melbourne in Smiths Gully, Christmas Hills, in the beautiful Yarra Valley, the Rob Roy Revival is a great outing for motorsport lovers, classic car admirers and anyone who enjoys a picnic atmosphere.
Everyone is encouraged to wear their best vintage 50s and 60s gear and join in the revival spirit.
