Chris Young's HDT VH SS Group 3 #971

I’ve had this car for around 15 years. I had a VH SLX wagon that got nicked, and I got paid out for it.

I wanted another VH, but a sedan and maybe an SL/E. I rang the owner of a VC but he was asking too much for me but put me on to someone who had a few Brocks. I wasn’t necessarily chasing a Brock at the time, but they kept coming up.

It cost $9000 with a hotted-up motor, plus the original. I sold the hottie and put the original back in, which is what got my interest going.

That mighn’t sound like a lot of money now, but it was back then. At that stage, a really mint car was 15 grand. It’s an appreciating asset, but the numbers mean nothing as we enjoy it and aren’t about to sell.
