Caroline Liebich's Holden RB Gemini SL/X

My Mum, Phyllida McMullen bought this Gemini on 10 July 1986 after it had sat around at Gilbert Motors for almost a year. I bought it off her when my Corolla packed up; it came with the original books and everything. I drove it to-and-from-work for years and it never missed a beat, so when I upgraded to something with auto and aircon, I decided never to sell it.

Every time I see the Gemini, it reminds me of Mum. I’ve now joined the Sporting Car Club of SA and have put it on the new club rego scheme. When I saw the ‘Endurothon’ RB Gemini in the National Motor Museum, I thought that one day she might have her shining moment and it’s come today!
