Andrew Biffin's 1958 Ford F100

1958 Ford F100

We caught up with Andrew Biffin at this year's David Hack Classic event. Here's what he had to say about his '58 Ford F100 pickup...

"I’ve always been a Ford fan and I went to a bloke in town who imports cars who had one coming in from the States and promised me the first look at it. The day I saw it, it was pouring rain and looking through a fence I said ‘I’m buying it!’. The paint was good but the tyres were shot, the bumpers were rusty and the interior was a dog’s breakfast so I fixed all of those things up.

I’ve also done a whole heap of work to the engine to get it running properly. Don’t know if it’s a 390ci or a 428ci and the only way to know is to pull it down, but it’s running beautifully now. A mate was at the Pomona swap meet in the US and found a set of extractors for this so he got them and we put a new exhaust system on. Now I can just enjoy driving it."
