2023 Market Review - Pontiac 1957-1978
Many locally sold Pontiacs survive, joined by a swag of recent imports. Values are inconsistent, with some ex-USA Bonnevilles, Grand Prix and Catalinas cheaper than local Parisiennes in similar condition.
Canadian-sourced, Australian assembled cars were Chevrolets under the skin, so for a little extra outlay you can get a Pontiac with a 389 or even 421 cubic inch (6.5 or 6.9-litre) and power-operated accessories, unavailable here.
The mid-sized Le Mans shares DNA with the high-performance GTO and some owners get a bit excited when setting prices. $50,000 should buy a good pre-1968. Pontiacs from the 1950s are generally superior to Chevrolets of similar age and a lot cheaper.
