Plymouth Road Runner/Satellite/Fury 1964-73 – market review 2017-18

From a modest budget all the way through to stratospheric - Plymouth has something to offer.

Plymouth Road Runner/Satellite/Fury 1964-73

Plymouth-built muscle can cost a little or an awful lot and it takes a practised eye to spot the difference.

Most spectacular of the cars offered here in recent times was a Nascar-spec Superbird that hit the market at $365,000.

Most locally-available cars are Road Runners or the Valiant-sized Satellite with 6.3-litre ‘383’ engines that cost $35-45,000.

A Road Runner with the huge 440 cubic inch V8 will be hard to find here and may cost more than $100,000 to import.

If you like a bigger car with some grunt then the full-sized Fury can be found as a two or four-door Hardtop in nice condition for $25,000 – slightly more than a locally-assembled Dodge Phoenix.

Fury V8 1963-70 $21,335 [3]

Road Runner 1968-72 $54,680 [5]

Satellite 1966-72 $38,550 [5]
