Tidy classic for not a lot of money
Here’s living proof you don’t need a fortune to get a tidy and very useable classic.
This 1989 Nissan Skyline was picked up and restored by Craig Hardiman, whose work we’ve shown off before, with a feature on a gen 1 Sihouette GTS we published a couple of years ago.
In this case the car began as an Executive, with the 3.0lt six and an auto. The owner then decided to do something a little different, turning it into a replica of the half-dozen cars ordered by Victoria Police.
To that end it’s been lowered and fitted with 15-inch steel rims. In most other respects, it’s standard. It does however have a period SAAS steering wheel, which the owner says is a much nicer option than the stocker.
We’re featuring this car in a future Reader Resto story and the level of presentation is high.
It’s priced at $9000 and is located in Victoria.
