Low-mile Godzilla

Rejoicing in the nickname Godzilla, in part for its one-time ability to stomp out opposition on the racetrack, Nissan’s legendary AWD R32 Skyline GT-R has taken on a newer role as desirable collectible.

While prices have shot up in recent years, we reckon they still offer pretty good value when you look at their abilities and history.

The development story is one worth reading. Ours says in part: "Project leader Naganori Ito took on all of Nissan’s sports car projects in 1985, and began development of Project GT-X.

"Ito-san observed that all supercars and prototypes of the era were turning to four-wheel drive, all-wheel steering, turbochargers and composite materials; he drew inspiration in part from Nissan’s own MID-4 prototype, as well as Porsche’s world-class 959…"

This example got our attention because the owner indicates it is in dead stock condition, when many have been modified with mixed success. It’s claiming a modest 72,000km and a recent service. Located in Brisbane, it’s on the market at $95,000.
