American-Aussie alternative

Back in the early 1070s the Rambler Matador sedan and wagon were seen as an alternative to the big three locals. They arrived from AMC’s Wisconsin factory in a CKD crate, assembled in Australia by AMI in Port Melbourne and painted in colours unique to Australia.

Check out this special Rambler

This is a rare find. A first-generation Matador, in reportedly very good condition and always garaged. Under the bonnet is a 360ci V8 bolted to a Torque Flite auto gearbox and it runs on dual fuel. On the clock it shows 121,000kms. It is original condition, including the metallic bronze paintwork and aside from the dual fuel, is in original and unmodified condition. And the $29,900 price also snares you some spares and accessories.

When was the last time you saw a Rambler Matador? If this one whets your appetite, the regional Victorian-based owner is a Rambler club member. See the ad here.
