Big autumn classics sale

Shannons' Autumn classic sale has got underway and early signs are the bidding is looking strong.

Among the offerings are numberplates, motorcycles and an incredible spread of cars - pretty much something for every taste. Among them is the rare Capri shown here, a 1987 280 Brooklands.

This was number 770 in a run of 1038 examples and represents the last hurrah for the legendary series. It is being sold by and enthusiast and owner of a restoration business and is reported to be in very good shape.

It runs a 2.8lt V6 powerplant and five-speed manual transmission.
