Techno flagship

Mitsubishi's 3000GT series was the company's techno flagship for the early 1990s.

Boasting a 210kW 3.0lt V6, it provided impressive grip with its all-wheel-drive and electrically-adjustable suspension.

That translated into a 0-100km/h claim of 5.9sec and a top speed of 260km/h.

In any case, just 117 of these cars were locally imported, and at a substantial price. Back then the 3000GT would cost you $90,000, which rose to $117,000 as inflation and exchange rates hit.

We’ve seen prices tank over the years. However the rise in interest in Japanese classics has seen that turn around.

This example claims just 110,000km on the odo, boasts factory leather and comes with an RWC. located near Lake Macquarie in NSW, it's on the market for $49,990.
