A dynasty begins

The 240 is the first of the famous Zed cars, firstly badged Datsun, and later Nissan. Its lineage continues to this day.

The 240Z sought to go head to head against the Europe and British sports car offerings and was a hero car for the brand.

Designed by a team led by Yoshihiko Matsuo, the head of Sports Car Styling, it was sleek, with modern engineering, an affordable price and boasting decent levels of performance and handling due to its MacPherson strut front and Chapman strut rears.

Brakes were a disc drum arrangement.

Have a look at this 240Z resto.

This Datsun 240Z offered has a 2753cc engine mated to a five-speed manual box. Finished in the combo of red paint and black interior the odometer shows 23,812 miles. It appears to be in original condition inside and out and has a neat rear spoiler. Asking $100,998 and you can see more details here.
