Classic American muscle

April 17, 1964 ,was a momentous day in automotive history with the launch of the first-generation Ford Mustang that created a new class, known as the Pony car.

A concept created by the late, great Lee Iacocca, sitting on a Falcon platform the long bonnet, short tail design of the Mustang was a hit and it sold like hotcakes. It was originally estimated to sell 100,000 units a year.

Actual sales exceeded over 400,000 units in its first year and one million within two years of its launch. It was the most popular Ford since the A model.

Moffat Mustang tribute.

This metallic green-black 1968 fastback had its original 390 motor and C6 gearbox replaced. Now nestled under the bonnet is a 4.9-litre V8 and behind it a C4 automatic gearbox.  According to the ad this left-hand-drive fastback, with an asking price of $95,000 is running like a dream and the odometer is showing 6000 miles.
