Lotus Cortina MkII - today's temtper
Gentleman's racer
After the success of the first Cortina, Ford's second-generation model, 1966 to 1970 had big shoes to fill. Wrapped in all-new body the Lotus Cortina continued as the competition flagship, recognisable by its signature white hue with a green stripe resting on Minilite wheels. Its unique twin-cam engine was built in-house by Ford.
This award winning, matching numbers 1970 MkII Lotus Cortina arrived here in 2010. Its owner set about a resto comprising a strip and repaint, engine and gearbox rebuild and other mechanical work done, all documented with receipts.
It comes with its full-life history and is on the Lotus Cortina registry. It also has its original, Dunlop Aquajet radial tyres still new and wrapped and sealed. This superb elite, rare classic that is fun to drive is available for $95,000.
