Holden Commodore SS - today's tempter
Muscle-bound motoring
The VZ was the fourth and final version of the third-generation Holden Commodore that began the previous century with the VT in 1997.
Introduced on the VZ were new safety features, electronic stability and brake assist. Unlike most other Commodore model ranges, there was no Series II update offered with the VZ.
The SS was the flagship sports model of the VZ range and as such had an independent rear end, FE2 sports suspension, a limited-slip diff, 18-inch alloy wheels, fog lights, a body kit with spoilers and from January 1st 2006 a 260kW 6.0-litre V8 in its snout.
Here is one-owner 2006 VZ SS with a four-speed auto tied to the 6.0lt V8. The asking price is $55,000 and it has full books, history and according to the blurb presents in immaculate, unmarked condition throughout. See it here
