Project time

The XK Ford Falcon was introduced in September 1960 as a genuine alternative to the Holden. Offered only as sedan in two trim levels, the XK was a right-hand drive version of the American model, with local mods like five-leaf rear suspension and 13-inch wheels.

See our 60 years of XK feature.

If you feel like rolling your sleeves up and diving into a project, this XK could be for you, especially if you're a Ford collector or auto historian. It features a six-cylinder engine with three-on-the-tree manual gearbox, is complete and ripe for restoration.

Finished in green over green, in addition to the complete car there's a spare roof, spare front guards, a rear seat, even another engine and gearbox. And if the original chrome strips aren't up to snuff, it comes with a second set. At $14,500 see the details here.
