Turbo Warrior

February 14 – Valentine's Day has a different meaning for WRX fans. It was on this day in 1994 the first example lobbed on our shores.

The Subaru badged WRX for 'World Rally eXperimental' created a huge impact.

Boasting supercar performance in the shape of a small compact Japanese sedan, at times a hatch and for a short while, a stylish two-door coupe. The Wrex was a favourite with the rally, boy racer and grab-and-run set. And the late Colin McRae made it a world championship winning car.

Subaru WRX and STi market review

Finished in grey is this immaculate looking, one owner Suby WRX with service history in original condition.

A limited-edition model, build number 47 of 200, it has the 175kW 2.0lt turbo engine.

It's done 90,000kms and has a pile of STi factory-fitted go faster bits on it. An original WRX with history is rare. This one is in Victoria and $28,999.
