Holden Commodore VR SS - today's tempter
90s Aussie thumper
The VR Commodore series copped an extensive visual makeover from the VP with just the roof and door skins being carried over.
However, the mechanicals remained largely untouched.
The VR featured softer curves for improved aero, and major improvements to safety with ABS, IRS, an airbag for the driver (a first an Aussie car) and a seatbelt for the rear centre seat.
Sporting the SS combo of a 5.0lt V8 and 4spd auto, this deep blue 1994 VR SS has covered 270,000kms and features new 20-inch HSV alloys, aircon and power steering.
Overall it presents well according to the owner and the interior is tidy with no tears or rips to the cloth trim. The asking price is $23,000.
