Ford Mustang Shelby replica - today's tempter
Fast Ford fun
Ford set its all-time Mustang sales record in 1966, with 607,000 examples finding homes.
This same year Carroll Shelby had Ford gave him the GT40 Le Mans project. And there was the SCCA championships to be won. Shelby developed the GT350 Mustang, to do that and succeeded.
Built as a replica to the GT350 Fastback, this 1966 Mustang is finished in factory Silver Frost.
It's claimed to be an original "C" Code Car and underwent a resto and paint in 2013. In its snout is a 302 Windsor bolted to a C4 auto. Paying homage to the original it has plexi glass quarter windows.
It has rear panel intakes, a bonnet scoop and pins and 15-inch race style wheels. It's offered with a pile of receipts and photos and an asking price of $89,990. This one is with Prestige Motor Gallery in Sydney.
