Challenger buyers could have the basic hardtop or convertible or an upmarket SE that proved unfavourable. The convertible wasn't a big seller and was benched in 1971.

Sales were on the slide from 83,000 in 1970 to just 26,000 by the end of '71 and the
first-gen Challenger lasted two more years.

Powering this Challenger is a 5.2-litre 318ci bolted to a three-speed auto, a familiar combo to Aussie Chrysler owners.

This matching numbers 1972 coupe based in WA with an asking price of $65,000 arrived from Nevada in 2018. It is claimed to have 85,000 original miles and is being sold with full ADR compliance and WA registration.
