This was also the generation of Falcon GT that took on the London-Sydney marathon in 1968, scoring an imprssive third place. You can read our feature on that, here. 

This example in Perth looks like a much-loved family hauler, with basic 3.1lt six-cylinder engine up front and a three-on-the-tree manual transmission. The seller says it's a well-functioning survivor in unsually good shape. It's on the market at $47,888.
