GT Falcon replica also pulls big money
The recent chrome bumper auction by Seven82 Motors in Queensland pulled some big results, with a 1976 HJ Holden Sandman (lot 7) cracking the $100k mark for a final price of $104,275.
The premium price reflects the fact the car had undergone a big restoration and was running premium spec, with a 308 V8 and four-speed manual transmission.
Equally impressive was the result for a 1970 Ford Falcon XW GT tribute (lot 13), which sold for $137,600. This was a nicely-done restomod, with performance upgrades and a stock appearance.
Winning the bang-for-your-buck award was a 1971 Lincoln MkIII coupe (lot 15), which offered very solid value at $29,025.
Another car we previewed, the nicely-presented 1977 Holden Torana SS hatch (lot 10), is under negotiation.
