Three hero models

Grays currently has three hero-model Japanese performance cars up for online auction.

The pick of the bunch is an untra-rare top-spec 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VIII, aka the MR FQ-400, which makes it a very special car. Originally set up by Rallart in the UK, this is from the six-speed series and is build number 039.

Showing just 11,000km on the odo, it claimed a formidable 302kW when new and had supercar-challenging performance. Bidding is at $70,000 with three days to go (at the time of writing).

Next up is a 1998 Subaru WRX STi manual sedan, which is a locally-delivered car and showing a little under 170,000km on the odo. Though not as high end as the Evo, it still claimed a formidable 206kW. Bidding has cracked the $55,000 mark.

Number three is a bit of a Japan legend, a 1993 R32 Nissan Skyline GT-R. Showing around 125,000km, this example has had an engine rebuild and extensive mods. Bidding is at $40,000.
