Fancy yourself a V8 VN Calais but with a bit more flare? Well then this HSV enhanced SV 150  could just fit the bill nicely.

The early to mid-1990s saw HSV plaster their badges on a lot more than just their own Clubsports and Senators, with many HSV enhancements trickling their way down into lower-spec Commodores.

Everything from Executives through to top level Statesmans could be optioned with HSV enhancements, which could include anything from exhaust systems and intake all the way through to engine packages. You could order a bog stock Executive sedan with a top level HSV engine package if you were patient enough.

This 1989 SV 150 is a prime example of that, wearing a body kit and wheels not seen on your normal grandpa-spec Calais. Up front sits a 180kw version of Holden’s five-litre V8, backed up by a brand new four-speed auto.

The owner states the exterior has had a respray and the front seats have been re-trimmed, and he’s done his best to keep it as original as possible – including the factory tape deck!
