Looks like grand-dad drives it, until you check the specs

Today’s Tempter at first glance appears to be a grandpa-spec example of the now very desirable VL Calais turbo – witness the windscreen visor and louvers on both the rear and c-pillar windows!

Closer inspection of the otherwise-stock interior, however, reveals a boost gauge strapped to steering column.

And, sure enough, under the bonnet is a well-worked example of the mighty Nissan RB30 engine.

Rather than a genuine turbo model, this particular car is in fact a normally-aspirated example that has subsequently been turbocharged. No matter – for a many folks, sleepers like this have massive appeal.

The modifications take the car far beyond the factory turbo offering with a claimed 227kW at the wheels. Thankfully, the transmission, diff, brakes and suspension have all been upgraded as well.

The rest of the car presents as being nice and original, although it has had a respray in the original Venetian Red in 2016. Inside is the original Madeira red interior, including all of the cool Calais features such as rear headrests, single-spoke tiller and velour everything!

The Calais is showing 101,383km on the clock, and comes complete with the original hand book and log books, radio instructions, brochures and warranties.

It's with Australian Muslce Car Sales in Sydney and ou can view the full listing here.
