Mercedes-Benz W123 8-seater - today's tempter
People mover with style
If you have a big family or a small cricket team to move, this may be the perfect solution. What we love about it is the stylish alternative to a people-mover or SUV.
This W123 Benz features three rows of seats, though the centre can be folded away when not in use. And no, it has not been stretched by an amateur – that's how it came from the factory, listed as a V123 Limousine.
The W123 series started in 1976 and went for a decade, proving incredibly popular, with just short of 2.7 million made.
At launch the demand was so great that early slightly used ones were being sold at a premium over new price, in its home market, to people who didn't want to be on a waiting list.
As a whole, the series is highly regarded for its build quality.
This 1985 version is running the third iteration 140hp 2.5lt straight six and an auto. Located in Victoria it claims a low 46,000 miles and is priced at $35,000.
