Commodore Redline Wagon – Today's Aussie Muscle Tempter

commodore Holden SS-V Redline wagon commodore

Rare variant

As you may know, the market for chrome-bumper Aussie wagons has taken off in recent years. Where once they were seen as workhorses, they've had new life breathed into them as treasured classics.

Now you're unlikely to ever make a fortune out of the things, but a well-cared for example will always be worth something.

And we suspect late-model wagons like this will do something similar over the long term, when it's a high-end model like this Commodore VE SS Redline. As anyone who's driven any Redline variant (sedan, wagon, ute) will tell you, these are exceptional and quick cars.

To all intents and purposes it's a muscle car in wagon shape and should always retain some appeal with enthusiasts.

We've done a comprehensive Commodore history, which you can see here. And the section covering VEs is here.

This 2012 example claims 76,000km, is located in Vic and is on the market at $36,500.
