We’ve all seen countless replicas at car shows, but this is the real mackoy!

This 1967 Ford Mustang is number seven of 11 vehicles prepared for the Hollywood film Gone in 60 Seconds, designed by Steve Stanford and Chip Foose. It's been spotted for sale overseas, offered to market by German classic dealers ChromeCars.

While the movie refers to the ‘Eleanor’ Mustang as a customised GT500, for production less valuable and common Mustangs were originally used as donor vehicles.

The car offered for sale is believed to be one of three surviving ‘hero’ cars from the movie, and boasts a 300kW 351ci Ford Performance crate motor with cog-swapping duties handled by a four-speed manual transmission.

ChromeCars hasn’t published an asking price, however another genuine Gone In 60 Seconds hero car was sold via Mecum in 2013 to the tune of US$1 million (AU$1.36 million).
