Huge collection of rare automotive literature available at Donington Auctions

Almost 400 lots of original manuals, service books and sales brochures are up for grabs, but be quick!

The collecting bug is a fickle one, and for many of us – it’s not enough to just own the car. No, that’s just the start. Then the hunt begins for any number of rare and original pieces of documentation, period literature, rare spares, period accessories etc. Anything and everything, to match your pride and joy.

Period literature are popular collectibles and are fun bits and pieces to display on the dash at the next car show. Melbourne’s Donington Auctions are here to serve and, over the past few weeks, has been running an online auction comprising of almost 400 lots featuring rare and original sales brochures, manuals and service books for a variety of classic cars.

We’re talking everything from 60s front-engine Lamborghini tourers, to obscure niche-brands like NSU, to the Australian-made mainstays of the 70s: in many cases the bids are very reasonable and are the perfect little treats for the passionate collector.

You better be quick though, as the sale is ending this Sunday November 1, at 4:00pm.

Have a browse, you might find something to match your toy! And even if you don’t, it’s tremendous fun to flick through the lots and wonder just how the heck someone came across some of this stuff!
