1975 Ford F100 Custom – Today’s Tempter

Ford F100 Ford F100

Cheap interesting project: possibly Aust-built, dual fuel, manual, looks solid and mostly intact

There’s something charming about classic big American utes (or trucks, if you will) that gets under your skin.

We have a 1970 Chevrolet C10 in the Unique Cars office fleet, and with the obligatory 350 Chev in the snout, it’s great fun. Big, clumsy, and thirsty, but fun.

This Ford F100 from 1975 offers much of the same appeal.

There isn’t much information or photos attached to the listing unfortunately, but it appears to be a RHD example and may actually be an Australian-produced vehicle.

Ford Australia produced these sixth-gen F-trucks from 1973 through to 1979, and fitted them with local powerplants ranging from the 300ci straight-six through to the big 351 Cleveland V8. The Vin number should give clue as to this one's delivery status.

The listing for this F100 says the overall condition is good, is fitted with a manual transmission and indicates the car runs on petrol and gas.

No mention of what engine is fitted under the bonnet, but the overall vehicle looks largely intact.

Based in New South Wales and listed for $16,800; the F-truck might make for a fun project for someone after a vintage truck.
