1967 Cadillac Coupe deVille – Today’s Tempter

In terms of pure square-footage for the dollar, you can’t beat this big American land-yacht

The zeitgeist of 60s Americana said that size equalled luxury, exemplified best by Cadillac’s space-age Series 62s, Eldorados and Coupe deVilles.

These were the cars for the high-flyers of the day; hugely innovative and, in many cases, hugely expensive.

While luxury car tastes have changed these days, these land-yachts of yesteryear still have their fans, and offer an unmatched road presence and cruising experience.

This 1967 Cadillac Coupe deVille now calls sunny Queensland home, but its current owners sourced it directly from its original owners in South Carolina in the USA.

According to the listing, the sellers purchased the car in the US, and road tripped around 2000 trouble-free miles before bringing the car home with them.

The car is said to be in highly original condition and drives ‘very smoothly’. Since purchase, the car has had a brake overhaul with reconditioned master cylinder, new AC pump (with system re-gassed), a new alternator fitted as well as new tyres.

Electronic windows and seats are said to function as intended, as does the air-conditioning which works well and blows very cold.

The engine starts and runs without fault along with the automatic transmission, whilst the car overall rides with nary a clunk or vibration in earshot.

The car will be accompanied by a roadworthy certificate and Queensland registration upon sale.
