Combined Sydney-Melbourne event closes June 3

Shannons' big online auction is entering the closing stages and has shown some strong bidding, though there are still some opportunities in the mix of lots.

One that's caught our eye is the 1970 Holden HG Belmont panel van, sitting on a little over $12,000 at the time of writing, with an estimate of $15-20k. It's a no-reserve lot and could turn out to be a big of a bargain for someone who wants a classic Aussie shape.

Speaking of classic shapes, arguably the prettiest car in the auction, a 1953 Jaguar XK120 roadster, will be finding a new home. It's passed reserve and is sitting on $122,500.
