Phillip Island 'Festival of Motorsport' - Mega Photo Gallery
Missed out on the classic motorsport festivities over the long weekend? Catch up here!
Our recent longweekend played host to the sights and sounds of Phillip Island's 'Festival of Motorsport', backdropped by the picturesque seaside circuit on the southern coast of Victoria.
There was plenty of close action on track, from open-wheelers, to Group C & A racers of old; there were over 500 competitors on the grid, hailing from both local soil and as far away as the UK and USA- and over a thousand cars to drool over elsewhere on the premises.
While they say you should never judge a book by its cover, in our experience you can certianly judge an automotive event by the car park - and when its filled by GT Falcons, Alfas, Minis and Torries; you know it's going to be a good one!
Beyond the car park photo gallery above, we've also shared some video footage of on-track action and a pit-walk; but if you're keen for even more eye-candy, you can peruse the mega photo gallery here shot by one of the best in the business, Shaun Tanner.
