Restored C3

Chevrolet's Corvette series has always had a famboyant edge to it, and none more so than the C3 series.

Spanning 1968 through to 1982, the fibreglass-bodied two-seaters are a cross between muscle car and sports car, with an emphasis on the former.

While looking exotic, mechanically they're relatively simple, generally running a range of Chev pushrod V8s, all of which tend to be robust and easy to work with.

By far the most popular choice is the small block 350 - which is what this example has, taken out to 383ci (6.2lt). There are a number of other performance mods and it's running a four-speed manual transmission.

The Chev underwent a huge restoration not so long ago, and the owner says it's done just 1900 miles since.

We've previously featured this car as a Reader Ride - you can see the story here.

You can see the ad here - it's on the market for $59,900.
