In need of a summer classic? Try this 327 C3 ‘Vette!

There are various layers to early Corvette collecting, with lucrative collectors clocking to early C1 and C2 generations due to their widely-regarded styling.

The C3 generation straddles the line between mainstream accessibility; with beautiful lines, big road presence and even bigger V8s – while not being too prohibitively expensive.

Within the C3 generation however, there are still distinctions to be made for the privy collector: post-1973 cars ditched their chrome bumpers for fibreglass nose cones and rears, and also suffered a power decrease due to emerging smog and emissions regulations in the US.

This pre-smog 1968 Corvette hardtop is specified with the 327ci V8 coupled to a four-speed manual.

The seller states that the car has always been garaged and will come with some spare parts a "Cvett" WA plates.

Unfortunately there are no interior or engine bay photos attached to the listing, but from the exterior – the car looks to be in good condition all round.

It might be worth investigating if you’re after a classic US muscle car, or any classic that will turn heads.

The car is based in Western Australia, and is listed for $58,000.
