LC Coupe survivor! 238ci Red with three-speed column shift manual with books
At a time when Australia was obsessed with Aussie six-cylinder cars, the LC Torana arrived as a true Aussie compact family car – something the preceding HB was not.
Despite being based on the same floorpan, the six-cylinder Torrie gained a longer wheelbase and all new sheetmetal.
The LC took our our Sister mag Wheels’ "Car of the Year" award in 1969, and was the best selling light car in 1970 and 1971.
There were eight model variants within the LC lineup, comprising of both two and four-door models.
This ’71 LC Torana coupe on sale here looks to be a rare and genuine survivor.
It’s got the 138ci Red motor coupled with the column-shift three-speed manual.
It looks to be very original throughout with all trim and emblems presents and in place, what looks to be an untouched engine bay, and a decent interior that should come up great with a little love.
The car will come with original books and workshop manual.
The LC Torrie is based in Melbourne and is listed or $36,500.
