No Reserve Classics up for grabs at Silverstone

The private collection will be up for auction, coinciding with the Silverstone Classic race meeting.
A Ford Lotus Cortina, Citroen DS Super 5, a BMW 1602, Ferrari Testarossa and a rare Lancia Delta HF Integrale Bianco Perlato will go under the hammer at the Silverstone Auctions July 26-28.
Held as part of the historic Silverstone Classic race meeting the private collection is set to test the market strength, with the cars offered at no reserve.
Sure to stir the local hearts is an early airflow 1965 Ford Lotus Cortina that has been to California and New Zealand. While in NZ it underwent a restoration in 2013 which has been documented. Local UK specialist Andy Middlehurst confirmed its originality.

The 1973 Citroen DS Super 5 is a multiple Concours winner and has had just two owners, the original being the CEO of the a Citroen dealership. Finished in Blanc Meije with Red Targa upholstery the DS Super 5 featured prominently at the Paris Concours and Citroen World Championship and has appeared on both Top Gear and Fifth Gear television programmes. It has been offered a permanent place in Citroen’s national museum in France.
One of several BMWs from the collection is a 1975 1602 with just 3,055 miles on the clock. The car was bought new on the 1st January and remained with its original owner until 2016 when it was sold and joined the large private collection. Painted Schwarz with a Cream leather and cord interior it comes with a history file including full books, sales brochure.
A 1991 Ferrari Testarossa with 15,180 miles on the clock in Rosso with Crema and Rosso carpets, comes with accompanying paperwork. Also offered is a 1994 Lancia HF Delta Integrale Evoluzione 2 Bianco Perlato of which just 365 were made.
