Jaguar XJS Tempter Jaguar XJS Tempter

Australian-delivered two-owner car with a genuine 75,625kms

It was always going to be a tall order following in the footsteps of Jaguar’s gorgeous E-Type.

Its successor, the XJS, remains the longest-running Jaguar model in its history – produced for over 20 years from 1975 to 1996 totalling 115,413 units.

It was a technically brilliant car, though still hasn’t burst into mainstream collectability… yet.

With elongated aerodynamic styling, the low and sleek grand tourer was powered by either a 3.6lt inline-six or a 5.3lt V12; with cog-swapping handled by either five-speed manual or a three or four-speed automatic.

This car on sale here is a 5.3lt V12 car mated to the three-speed automatic, which should make for effortless cruising.

It’s an Australian-delivered car with genuine two-owner history. It’s also incredibly low-mileage, with just 75,625kms to its name and comes from six years storage.

It presents as factory and all matching numbers, and comes with heritage certificate, all original books and passport.

The seller states that the car’s silver over red "russet" interior remain in great original condition and nothing needs restoring – just maintenance and the joy of driving.

The car is based in Melbourne Victoria, and is listed for $34,950.
