Stunning original surviving condition, low mileage and perfect running order

Holden’s HG arrived in the winter of 1970, replacing the outgoing HT as a mild facelift with updated visuals and mechanicals.

The HG was available in Belmont, Kingswood, Premier, Brougham and Monaro guide; and in a swathe of body types including four-door sedan and station wagon - and two-door coupes, utes and panel vans.

Engine options included a 161ci and 181ci six-cylinder and 253, 308 and 350ci V8s mated to one of either a three or four-speed manual, or a two-speed powerglide or three-speed Trimatic.

This particular HG Kingswood is a reportedly genuine survivor, all original and in matching numbers presentation.

A time-warp car according to the listing, the car’s original Cinnamon Brown paint, Kashmir White rood and Sandalwood interior all look to be in astoundingly good condition.

Under the bonnet sits the original 161ci six-cylinder engine with power transferred via the three-speed column-shift manual.

It’s reportedly in perfect running condition with a genuine log-booked 59,852 miles on the odometer.

The car comes with optioned sunvisor, mudflap and dealer-fitted gear lever lock; as well as the original books, manual and original Vic plates.

The car is based in Wollongong, New South Wales; and is listed for $35,500.
