1996 Mini Rover Cooper 35th Anniversary – Today’s Tempter
Rare Japanese-market reproduction: Looks from the 60s, built in the 90s
This Mini looks like a classic Mini, in all its petite 60s goodness.
But it was actually built in 1996, as a 35th anniversary special for the Japanese Market.
The JDM Rover Mini bears a single-point fuel injected 1275cc four-cylinder mated to a four-speed manual.
Finished in Almond Green with a white roof, the limited anniversary edition features a matching green leather interior with a woodgrain dash and cream coloured instruments.
The car features the optional Sports Pack that includes the glorious fender flares, minilite wheels (shod in new tyres), as well as allo door pulls, locks and window winders.
The car was imported from Japan, and compliance in May 2003, and has recently undergone a service on mechanicals, as well as the air-conditioning and rear shocks.
The car has travelled 51,576kms from new and looks like it would be an absolute hoot to drive! All with a little added confidence in more modern manufacturing.
The car is based in Tasmania, and is listed for $37,500.
