Spent 20 years in storage and presents in all original and unrestored condition

The original ‘brick’ Mini remains one of the most recognisable and iconic automobiles in history.

Its small stature belied its big impact; as Mini were found everywhere, from successful motor racing cars, to celebrity fashion accessories, to a movie star in its own right.

Its legacy still lives on, recognisable to even the most casual of car-spotter.

This 1969 Morris Mini Matic has recently been put back on the road after 20 years in storage.

It’s all original and in unrestored condition, and presents in fairly good condition.

Being a ‘matic’, the car bears a four-speed automatic transmission mated to its 998cc four-cylinder engine.

The seller claims the engine and transmission are in excellent running order, and the car has gained new tyres, a recent service, and rebuilt front brakes with new hoses at all four corners.

The interior is in good condition with original rubber floor mats, though the listing points out there is some sun fading on the top of the seats.

Overall, it’s an amazing survivor and a rare find. Small things may need attention but the perfect base could be there.

The car is based in New South Wales, and is listed for $16,900.
