This month's man cave must-haves...

1. Allan Moffat plaques

Here’s one worth hanging in the shed! These limited production illuminated signs feature a Goodyear racing slick that encases detailed illustrated plaques, with 150 units signed by Allan Moffat himself! A further run of 100 pieces will be made, unsigned. Signed and numbered units will set you back $449, and unsigned units will cost $389.

2. Hafco HC-1T Engine Crane

Hafco’s HC-1T engine crane looks like a slick bit of kit, and would probably go down well in the shed if you regularly need to do some heavy lifting. It folds up neatly when not in use, and has a 1 tonne maximum load capacity. Wide legs keep it stable, and a maximum lift height of 2300mm should see an engine well clear of its bay.

3. Mopar trucker hat

In need of a gift for a car nut? Area13 has some pretty rad t-shirts and hats, with some neat graphics reflecting the Big 3 manufacturers, Chrysler, Ford and Holden.

Stand back, we did a book! We recently got the chance to assemble some of our best material on a selection of the cars that ‘made’ the greatest era in Australian motoring, and it’s been turned into a hardbound coffee table book. Inside there’s a wealth of info plus some truly stunning photography. We’re pretty sure any car nut would be pleased to have it and it costs just $40.

5. Diecast Reliant

Now your little tackers can experience the Reliant roll-over experience in the safety of your living room floor. Oxford’s little scale replica of the Reliant Regal Supervan is a detailed recreation of the notorious three-wheeler. For just $9.52, it’s one of the more unique scale models we’ve seen and looks every bit as precarious as the real thing.

6. Motorcraft tee

For the Ford history buffs, Ford’s parts and accessories division went from Rotunda, via Autolite, and in 1972 took on Motorcraft as its official factory-backed accessories division. Thanks to a user on RedBubble, you can now buy Motorcraft branded apparel, with the bold red logo available on T-shirts, hoodies and jumpers. The seller has Mopar branded merch available as well!
