The first of the plastic bumper Commodores, the VK arrived in 1984 and continued production until 1986.

Other visual updates included rear quarter windows for a bigger glasshouse feel, new grille and tail light assembly.

Engine options included two 202 six-cylinder black motors, both a carburetted and EFI option, as well as two V8 options. Available gearboxes were a four and five-speed manual and a three-speed auto.

This first-year 1984 model VK Commodore presents in factory base-model SL trim. Complete with matching numbers 202 six-cylinder engine and four-speed manual – the car apparently bears the police pack deleted power steering and Air-conditioning from factory. The car also is specified with a long range tank.

The car presents unrestored and in full surviving condition and in factory Avocado Green hue. The car is reportedly in excellent mechanical condition with new tyres, brakes and suspension.

The car is based in Melbourne, and is listed for $16,000.
