The ZH generation was a visual departure point for the Fairlane which had previously been critiqued for looking too close to the Falcon.

Arriving in 1976, the ZH Fairlane took the midsection from the upcoming XC Falcon but gained longer front and rear sections and an overall much longer and luxurious silhouette.

The Fairlane 500 now became the base trim with the Custom line being discontinued. Above the 500 sat the Fairlane Marquis. The P6 LTD arrived later that year.

Engine options were either Ford’s 4.9lt or 5.8lt V8.

It’s not clear which V8 is fitted with this gold ZH Fairlane 500 as there is no engine photo included in the listing, but gearbox has been listed as a T-Bar automatic.

The rest of the car presents really well, with original paint, interior and vinyl roof.

Condition looks rather incredible for its age and originality, though the seller hints that the car has been stored in a shed for the "last 26 years".

If you’re looking for a classic Australian luxury limo, this ZH being one of the last chrome-bumper Fairlanes built.

If it is all original as hinted, it could be a good buy.

The car is based in Queensland, and is listed for $25,000.
