With acres of new metal on display, a classic Mini stole the limelight at the 2018 New York Motorshow

The BMW-owned British-manufactured Mini combined the historic look of the world’s favorite small car and filled it with the latest electric, zero emissions technology to give buyers a fun to drive environment-friendly runabout.

The Mini Electric Concept was announced at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show, paving the way for the brand's first all-electric vehicle which will be unveiled in 2019 – just in time for the 60th anniversary of the classic Mini.

The fully electric production vehicle is currently in development, based on the MINI 3 Door, and will be produced for the first time at Mini’s Oxford plant next year. Like the original car in 1959, Mini is once again a pioneer, but this time in sustainable mobility. In 2008, the Mini E was launched with 600 examples produced and used in field trials under everyday conditions.
