Big numbers for Shannons auction
A9X hatchback stars
Tonight's Shannons Sydney auction pulled some healthy numbers for sellers, with strong interest shown across the range.
Top bid for the night was $595,000 for a Ferrari Dino (lot 71), however this was below reserve.
Meanwhile a Torana A9X hatchback (lot 70) pulled a very solid $275,000.
An exceptional survivor one-owner HK Monaro (lot 68), with 186ci six and auto, pulled $86,000 a lot more than it cost new, even allowing for inflation.
Interest in good RX-7 Mazdas continues unabated, with an SP (lot 69) selling for a hefty $112,000.
Numberplates also scored well, with very solid prices.
