One of Australia's biggest car shows
This year's Picnic at Hanging Rock car show is happening at the usual Macedon venue (in Victoria) this Sunday and, since the weather forecast looks about perfect, it should get a monster attendance.
The show is famous for attracting anything up to 1000 display vehicles, dominated by cars, but including trucks, motorcycles and stationary engines.
Entry is $20 per car or $5.00 for motorcycles, regardless of whether you're bringing a vehicle to show or are just cruising up for a look.
Typically there is catering on site, and a bunch of activities turned on for kids.
Numerous awards are offered and the sheer variety of machinery that turns up is mind-boggling. The cut-off for display vehicles is 25 years - in other words club-plate eligible.
The event is run by the Macedon Ranges and District Motor Club. See the event website and Facebook page.
Look out for the Unique Cars mag crew - we'll be travelling up in a brown XB Falcon sedan with white roof and a dark blue HZ Kingswood sedan.
We gave last year's event extensive pictorial coverage:
