Hot on the block recently were three ultra low-mile HSVs at Lloyds in Queensland

2017 HSV GTSR W1

Sold $251,000
Lloyds Auctions

The master fettlers of Commodores, HSV, kept the best till last and the GTSR W1 is their pinnacle. The ultimate and last ever Aussie made GM muscle car. Finished in Sting Red, this road-going V8 Supercar is build number 36 of 300 and with 21 delivery km showing. Taking a unique place in Australian history the GTSR W1 is a shrewd investment that will only grow in stature, legend and value. Dare I say the General’s modern-day equivalent to the GT-HO.

2008 HSV W427

Sold $106,000
Lloyds Auctions

Hsv -w 427

HSV unleashed this 7-litre monster smack in the middle of the GFC. In 2008 $155k was unthinkable for a Commodore and only 137 of the original 427 were made, making them eminently more collectible and valuable today. This one wears build number 22 and has only travelled 2167kms with the one owner. Given its stature as the biggest engined HSV in the world, it’s fair to suggest its legend status is guaranteed. Bagging a W427 in such superb order for $106,000 seems like a lottery win.

2012 HSV 25th Anniversary GTS

Sold $55,000
Lloyds Auctions

Hsv -25th -anniversary

One of a pride of HSV lions that went under the hammer was this superb 2012 HSV 25th Anniversary GTS with just 105 kms on the clock. That’s right, it’s a new car! In its snout is the ultimate combo of a 325kW LS3 6.2-litre V8 and six slot self-shifting gearbox. Under the guards 20-inch alloys and six-piston brakes. And adorning the entire car, unique 25th anniversary decorations. What a bargain. The hardest part will be to fight the temptation to drive… Often.
